One of the beautiful things about climbing is that it subtly teaches us to trust our strengths more than our fears by regularly doing things we once thought we couldn’t.

Even after 20+ years of climbing, climbing at #PfälzerWald asks for skills I haven’t quite yet acquired. I’m not gonna lie: So far, most of the time it feels like hard work and loads of type 2 fun experiences. However, I know that putting in the work is worth it. Yes, it sometimes might be intimidating and frustrating but in the end overcoming challenges, stepping out of our comfort and into our learning zone helps to gain strength, courage and (self) confidence - in climbing as in life.

Who are you? A climber, a yogini, a girlfriend, Who are you?

A climber, a yogini, a girlfriend, a sister?
Feel free to find your own answer to this question.

Defining connects us because typically we become part of a community. However, we need to keep in mind that defining also means to limit. Each surely is so much more than „just“ a climber.

#thankyoufornothingdB I‘m usually a pretty chill #thankyoufornothingdB
I‘m usually a pretty chill, peaceful & patient person that holds loads of understanding for unforeseen occurrences. But today is one of these days where I do ask myself: what’s the matter with dB? There are countries, where public transportation runs smoothly, whereas here it looks like this: Three out of the five trains I planned to take today were late, each (!) with a delay of at least 40 min, one was cancelled entirely, which in sum made guests wait in the freezing cold for about 4 hours. 🥶 Protecting our planet is something that does mean a lot to me and I am more than willing to travel by public transport even though it’s less convenient than traveling by car. But it would be nice to know, that this isn’t a oneway road and dB would do their part, too. Making travelers wait for hours is not particularly what I understand as being helpful and it surely does not make me want to travel more with public transport by dB. 🤷🏼‍♀️ … and I am positive that I am not the only one. So please, @dbpersonenverkehr take this to heart. 🙏🏾

Cheers to be back doing the things I love most: climbing, practicing/ teaching yoga and supporting others on their healing journey. 🤗

Back home from another trip to Fontainebleau, already eagerly waiting for the next one to come along. This time Bleau generously offered me some early Christmas gifts with quick ascents of
‘La Théorie du Complot’ (7b+, highly recommended), ‘L’Effondrement des Civilisations’ (not recommended), ‘Good Vibrations’, ‘Soupçon’, ‘Tim Tim’ and ‘Parapluie’ (each graded 7a and fun lines to boulder).
Psyche is high, whoop whoop. 🙌🏽

Merci, forêt de Fontainebleau - always a pleasure. 🎁🥰

Recently I had a conversation with a friend about jealousy, in particular: jealousy and suppression at work. She told me how she’d been mistreated by her female bosses and that she now refuses to work for other women. Due to her past experiences with female leadership, her decision is absolutely reasonable and if I was her, I’d probably feel similar. So here’s to all of you gorgeous ladies out there: Considering the history of gender equality, it’s been hard enough to get us into positions of leadership. Please let’s be nice and support each other. 💃🏼💕 Each is born with its very unique talents and gifts and there really is no place for jealousy in this world. 🙏🏾
