About me

In yoga and climbing teachers and their students work together harmonically. They learn with and, as a matter of fact, from each other. Due to this a high level of trust is required.

Let me do the first move here, offering you an insight into my life, intentionally giving you a first impression of who I am.

As far as I can remember, I’ve had quite a nice childhood. It was within this period of my life (I was about 8 years old) when I discovered my passion for climbing. I fell for – head over heals.

When my parents got divorced during my youth I started to realize that apparentely life's not only always pleasant.

To sum it up, so far my youth definitely was the hardest time of my life.

Nevertheless, its where my personality and attitude has grown tremendously. I learned valuable lessons in gratitude, mindfulness, trust, solidarity and positivity which after all shaped me to the person I’ve grown into.

At the age of 16 I felt ready to spread my wings for the first time. I was absolutely sure about one thing:

I want to travel the world, free and independent as can be.

Hence, it's not surprising that I started my lifes' journey by moving to Texas (USA) for 5 months. After the semester abroad and graduating high school I coincidentally traveled through Innsbruck (Austria). I loved this sportive city and all its mainly young and dynamic inhabitants, which made the decision to move there pretty easy.

When I finished my studies in sports nutrition, my interests in athletics and psychology grew. So I decided to study both at the University in Innsbruck.

At the same time I successfully completed my instructor in sport climbing and started teaching at the local and worlwide known climbing gym „Kletterzentrum Innsbruck“.

In Innsbruck I discovered my second passion - Yoga. I started with some easy Youtube-Videos every now and then, soon developing a daily routine.

After 2-3 years of practice I started my yoga journey – traveling to India, the roots of Yoga, to finally become a yoga teacher myself.

Ever since, is my greatest honor to walk and share the beautiful path of Yoga wherever I go. Inversions in general and armbalances in particular is what my heart has fallen for.

After two fulfilling years of teaching, I am now sharing my practice and teachings all over the world.

I hope this brief intro enabled you a vision of who I am.

Now, I'd be more than happy to get to know you, too.

We've been learning to climb with Franzi since February and have also started doing some yoga with her. She is the most amazing teacher. She's an absolute ray of sunshine. She is always so calm and encouraging, even when I get the exercises wrong. Her yoga & climbing retreats are so much fun and I can't wait for the next one. I couldn't recommend her highly enough whether you want a climbing instructor or a yoga teacher - or both!

Franzi is the best yoga teacher I've ever seen. She is the most friendly, happy and well balanced person I've met so far. I learnt a lot from her.
